Vine Middle Magnet School

I just want to thank you for your assistance with dismissal on our flood day, 2/6/2020. The majority of our parents were very understanding and responsive when having to change their day around to accommodate our change of plans.

I wanted to send this mid-cycle update, because with the 7 days we've been out for illness/weather, there are a lot of events that have been changed, and/or may not have been publicized enough, as they are happening right around the corner (4 in the next two weeks!)

Next week, we will have The Black History Month Performance (Formerly Kwanzaa) on Wednesday, 2/19, and the Carpetbag Theater Presentation of Jackie Robinson Steals Home on Thursday, 2/21. On Tuesday, 2/25, we will have our Dance Showcase performance and don't miss Open House on Thursday 2/27.

I also wanted to express my thanks for the love you show Vine every day, whether it is communicating with your child's teacher or administrators, volunteering in our school, being a part of the PTSA, supporting our school in the community, and supporting your student to be the best versions of themselves, we appreciate you.

This year, our School Wide Read is Strong Inside, the true story of Perry Wallace. The author will visit our students Community and Parents on May 12, 2020!

Thanks to the Tn Arts Commission we will be having a free showing of Jackie Robinson Steals Home on Thursday, February 20th at 6:30pm.

This is free and open to the public. Great for kids, families, and the community! We are encouraging people to come with their church groups, community groups, fraternities and sororities, and families!
