African American Male Task Force
Presents Black Boys The Movie
Black Boys
Parents, educators and community stakeholders, join us as we view Black Boys! This film is a must see for everyone invested in greater outcomes for black boys and the entire Oakland County community. BLACK BOYS illuminates the spectrum of black male humanity in America. An intimate, inter-generational exploration, BLACK BOYS strives for insight to black identity and opportunity at the nexus of sports, education and criminal justice. Following the film we will engage in dialogue to determine next action steps as a community.
Oakland County African American Male Task Force
The Oakland County African American Male Task Force is a collaboration of educators, parents, community members, and other allies committed to the pursuit of positive life outcomes for African American male students. Our goal is to close the gaps in equity, opportunity and access between African American males in Oakland County, and their White and Asian peers, by providing them with the necessary support to ensure equal access and opportunity to an equitable education and schooling experience.
