Veterans Day Celebration - November 11th
Greetings from the Technology Team!
December 5th-11th is Hour of Code week. The Hour of Code is a global movement introducing students to computer science, inspiring kids to learn more, breaking stereotypes, and leaving them feeling empowered. We are getting ready to start our Months of Code. From November 29th to January 31st our GHES Hornets will be learning about all things code.
We wanted to share with you the websites and apps that we use in teaching students. Internet safety and privacy are a priority and we carefully choose the sites that our students interact with and have accounts on. Our Website and Apps Privacy Document will link you to all of the sites and apps we use. This is divided by grade level and there are links to each company’s privacy policies.
In addition to this we are teaching Internet Safety through Common Sense Media. My Internet Safety: Parent Page has information about the lessons that Mrs. Johnsen and I teach at each grade level. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me, Dr. OJ ogradyjonesm@fortmillschools.org, or to Mrs. Johnsen Johnsenh@fortmillschools.org

Hornet Hero
We love recognizing our Gold Hill Family! Each month, one staff member is named our "Hornet Hero". If anyone at GHES has stood out to, or inspired your child, please have them complete this form to nominate a deserving staff member. It could be their teacher, an office member, support staff, custodian, cafeteria team member, etc. One staff member will be celebrated each month.
You can assist your child by helping them complete the form electronically, and we will take it from there!
PTO Spirit Nights! SAVE THE DATES!
Have a great weekend!
