While we are committed to soaking up the last few days of summer, we are so excited to welcome back all of our King Arts scholars, staff and families!

But for a handful of minor changes, schedules and student assignments have been finalized in PowerSchool. We will continue to make adjustments and tweaks as necessary. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through any corrections and updates.

Entry begins at 7:50AM at the designated areas for each grade level.

We know that the first few days of drop off and pick up may take a bit longer, so we ask that you please reference the map below for some general information around parking zones, loading zones and non-parking zones.

Please do not park on the West side of McDaniel.

Please also note that all of the space on the North side of Greenwood is DROP & GO, please do not park or exit your vehicle at this location. We do invite you to please park in the lot or any of the designated areas if you would like to walk your scholar to the door.

Dismissal begins at 2:40PM for K-5th grade students and at 2:45PM for 6-8th grade students.

Join the PTA and King Arts community as we welcome back scholars on Wednesday, August 23 with some coffee and breakfast treats on the playground from 8 - 8:45 am. Learn about the fun activities planned for the fall, volunteer opportunities available throughout the school year; and maybe see new spirit wear, if available for purchase!

Grade Level Meet-Ups!

We still have a few days left of summer before school starts! Below are the last of our grade level summer meet-ups scheduled. Families and teachers welcomed!

Rising Fifth Graders: Sunday, August 20, 11 am, Penny Park

Rising First Graders: Sunday, August 20, 1 - 3pm, King Arts playground

Kindergarten: Sunday, August 20, 2 - 3pm, King Arts playground

Rising Third Graders: Sunday, August 20, 3 - 5 pm at Ridgeville Park, BBQ

School Yard Clean-Up

Sunday, August 27, 11 - 1pm

King Arts Playground

The Green Team will host a school yard clean-up. In addition to trash pick-up, volunteers will have an opportunity to discuss work that needs to be done in our edible garden and school courtyard, as well as brainstorm ideas of interest for the school year.

General PTA Meeting

Tuesday, September 26, 7 - 8 pm

In-person at King Arts

Principal Calloway will share SY2024 goals and the team's strategic focus for the school year. The PTA will share additional information regarding extracurricular activities and clubs available to K - 8 scholars. We also will share volunteer opportunities and event plans for the school year. There will be time for community members to share their suggestions and ideas. We hope to see you there!
