DMS Principal's Corner

September 8, 2023
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. As we embark on the second month of the school year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the progress we've made so far and share some important updates and reminders.
First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude for your continued support and cooperation. The start of the school year has been a success due to your involvement in your child's education and the positive atmosphere you've created at home.
Academic Progress:
We are pleased to report that our students have settled into their routines and have been actively engaged in their studies. Our teachers have been working diligently to ensure that the curriculum is delivered effectively, and we have observed growth in our students' learning.
Communication:
Open and effective communication between home and school is essential for your child's success. We encourage you to stay connected with your child's teachers, counselor, and the school administration. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you.
Upcoming Events:
- School Pictures: School pictures will be Monday, September 25, 2023. Be on the lookout for order forms coming home soon.
- Progress Reports: Progress reports will be mailed on September 29, 2023.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences: We will be scheduling parent-teacher conferences in the coming weeks to provide you with a detailed update on your child's progress. Look out for information regarding scheduling.
Homework and Study Habits:
Frequently login to the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to view your child's progress, see missing assignments, and track grades. Please ensure your child establishes healthy homework and study routines at home. A quiet and organized study space can significantly contribute to their academic success.
Attendance:
Regular attendance is crucial for your child's success. If your child is unwell, please notify the school promptly, and we will work together to ensure they receive the necessary support.
We are excited about the educational journey that lies ahead and are confident that, together, we can help your child reach their full potential. We look forward to your continued involvement and support throughout the school year.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
