Credit Breakdown
In order for students to be promoted to the next grade level, they must have earned the following number of credits at the end of the year.

0 - 5.5 credits = 9th grade

6 - 12.5 credits = 10th grade

13 - 19.5 credits = 11th grade

20 + credits = 12th grade

Credits are not rounded up, for example if you have 5.5 credits you remain a 9th grader.

Attendance Matters

Please make sure your child is taking care of any attendance hours they may owe before the school year ends. A student having excessive absences, defined by Texas Attendance Laws, may not receive credit, not be promoted.
