Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we wrap up our recent round of conferences, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for your active participation. Your commitment to your child's education is truly commendable, and your presence at these conferences underscores the importance we collectively place on the partnership between home and school.
The conversations that took place during these conferences are invaluable. They provide an opportunity for us to share insights, celebrate achievements, and address any concerns collaboratively. Your engagement in your child's education plays a pivotal role in their success, and your dedication to staying informed and involved is a powerful motivator for both our students and our teachers.
Thank you for being active participants in your child's education and for making these conferences a meaningful and constructive experience. I look forward to our continued collaboration as we work together to ensure the success and well-being of every student at Elger Bay
Warm regards,
Tim Dickinson

Food bank offers resources
If your child needs a warm coat this winter, or a holiday gift, the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank can help.
Nearly any child aged 0-18 living in the Stanwood-Camano area is eligible to receive a new coat and a visit to their Christmas House shop. In order to qualify and receive a shopping appointment, you must be able to show verification of Stanwood-Camano residence for you and your children.
Warm Coats For Kids services run now through Dec. 21. Christmas House services operate from Dec. 5 to Dec. 21. Both programs operate from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Thanksgiving food distribution
A household can receive a ticket for thanksgiving meal items during the next food bank serve day: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22. The food bank is then closed Nov. 23-26.
Get levy facts on our website
Why do school districts ask voters to approve levies? In short: To bridge the gap between what the state provides and the services our community wants.
Levy dollars help pay for staffing and operations, including for sports, most safety and security personnel, and many other staffing costs such as teaching, nursing, and counseling.
This replacement levy would continue funding for educational programs so all Stanwood-Camano students have opportunities to succeed in school.
Power outage text alerts now available
In the Nov. 3 Friday Family Message, our superintendent wrote about how we make decisions as to whether we delay or cancel school during inclement weather.
An additional inclement weather resource is now available thanks to Snohomish County PUD.
When reporting an outage on the utility's outage map (outagemap.snopud.com), you can sign up for outage text alerts to stay updated on your specific outage.
