2024 Annual NSLP Financial Report (FY2023 Data)

This report must be completed by Contracting Entities (CEs) who participate in the NSLP, School Breakfast Programs (SBP), School Milk Program (SMP) or At-Risk CACFP programs and must be completed by an authorized representative. The CE must ensure that the reported data is accurate and reflects the CE’s financial operations for the fiscal period reported.

General Information

The Annual NSLP Financial Report will remain in JotForm.
CEs will receive an email notification indicating the JotForm is available.
Data used for the 2024 SY will be the prior fiscal year (2022-2023) from audited financial reports. For public school districts and charter schools, this is the same data submitted to TEA.
The Financial Report must be completed by an authorized representative. The CE must ensure that the reported data is accurate and reflects the CE’s financial operations for the fiscal period reported.
If data is determined to be invalid corrective action will be required.

PEBT Local Level Admin, Cost Grant - These funds may have been deposited within the FY 22-23. Cross reference your deposits. Note: These funds should have been transferred to another account to reimburse the PEBT Administrative Cost.

Note: The special funding reported in Part 2 Revenues and Expenditures > Reimbursement a.-d. is not calculated in the financial report. These funds should also be reported under "Other" reimbursement 11-d., 11 d i., and 11 d ii.

What to Include—This form should cover all monetary revenue and expenses for the Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs). This would include all relevant CNP revenue and expenses, including the summer feeding program and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), catering, a la carte, adult meals, concessions, etc. This report must include all monetary revenues and expenses attributed to and processed through the CNP account(s). This report does not include non-monetary revenue and expenses such as the value of the USDA Foods received during the prior fiscal year.

Excess Net Cash Resource

Line number 25 of the report - Excess Net Cash Resource will auto-populate.

If an excess net cash resource is calculated then a Corrective Action Plan is required.

The Excess Net Cash Resources Plan form is located on squaremeals.org under Administration/Forms.

Note: must add a plan to prevent excess net cash in the future.

Required Due Date

The 2024 NSLP Financial Report submittal due date deadline is March 31, 2024. EXTENDED DUE DATE MAY 3rd.
