District 196 wants input on facilities before deciding on possible bond referendum
District Dialogues are November 15, 16 and 17 at high schools
District 196 is inviting all parents and guardians, and all other district stakeholders to attend one of three meetings November 15, 16 and 17 to learn more about facilities, equipment and space needs in the district, and give feedback on improvements that are being considered for a possible bond referendum.
The District Dialogues on Facilities are scheduled as follows:
• Tuesday, November 15, 6-8 p.m., at Eastview High School
• Wednesday, November 16, 6-8 p.m., at Rosemount High School
• Thursday, November 17, 6-8 p.m., at Eagan High School
The format and content will be the same for all three meetings. They are not tailored for location, and Spanish and Somali interpreter services will be available at all three. Each meeting will begin with a large group presentation, followed by clarifying questions, then participants will break into smaller groups for facilitated discussions designed to give everyone an opportunity to share their thoughts about possible facilities improvements being considered.
Please consider attending a meeting and register at District196.org to help the district plan appropriately for each meeting. Provide name and email, select which meeting you want to attend, and identify which stakeholder group(s) you represent. It’s that easy.
District administration will use input from the District Dialogues, along with results of a recent community survey, to guide its final recommendation to the School Board later this year. The board will then decide whether to move forward with a bond referendum election and, if so, what improvements to include in the question.
For some background on the facilities review and what is being considered, read the district news release: District 196 asking stakeholders for input on pending facilities decision

Attention all Fall Sport Student-Athletes and parents of all Fall Student-Athletes: Many of our Fall sports have concluded their seasons and all of our Fall sports will be wrapping up in the coming weeks.
