Wendel Welcome
Coleman Families,
Welcome to December 1st! We have a fun and busy month! Our teachers have planned for an amazing last month of 2023! Make sure you are reading the Coleman Connection to stay up to date on all events! Toy Drive, PTO Events, Holiday Parties, 4th-grade Program, etc!
If you haven't already filled out this quick Capturing Kids' Hearts Family Survey please take 2 minutes to complete the survey. We use this data to see our strengths and opportunities to make JCE the Place to BE! We already have around 60 responses! My goal is to have over 300 responses!

Capturing Kids' Hearts: Responsibility
Coleman Crew,
We are collecting toys for the Texas State Guard Toy Drive! We are collecting new, unopened toys for children who will not get a gift other than the ones donated! You can bring your new, unopened toys to any donation box. Donation boxes are at the end of each design district, the cafeteria, front office, and at the carline.
Last year, we donated just over 200 toys in 2 weeks! Our goal this year is to raise 300 by December 15th! I know we can do it!
We are having a COMPETITION between each District! As of now, the Discovery District (Pre-K, Kinder, 1st) have collected more that the other Districts combined! The District that wins will receive a CANDY CANE party!
Coleman Staff Member of the Week
Judy King
JUDY KING is a great example of TEAMWORK!
Judy King is a great example of teamwork. She is your biggest cheerleader! She wants students to succeed and will map out a plan to help that student become their personal best. If a team member has questions, needs resources, or advice about reading strategies or anything, she is there for you! Judy goes beyond the mark to be helpful and wants everyone on the JC team to be their best and goes beyond that for students and families in our Coleman community.

ART
It's so great to have everyone back! I hope you all had some wonderful family time and fun adventures!
In Art, k-2 students are making adorable snowmen snow globes! We will use oil pastels and watercolors to finish them in the next few weeks! And they are doing a great job!!!
3-5 students are learning how to make pinch pots with clay and are patiently waiting through the drying and firing process! The creativity coming out of this process makes my art heart happy! I can't wait for you to treasure these for years to come!
2nd Annual Kinder Gingerbread Scavenger Hunt!
Book Character Ornament!
We are so excited that we've received our first book character ornaments on the library tree! It's really coming to life and we can't wait to see which book characters show up this month. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Ramirez
