Parents:

We are happy to announce a schedule change that we hope will decrease absenteeism for families who use instructional days for vacations. The four Fall Early Release Days (ERD) were eliminated and a full-day of professional development for teachers and staff was added in October. The four Spring Early Release Days (ERD) were left in place to allow teachers and staff to follow-up on and extend their learning throughout the school year.

Four day mini-breaks were added in October, February, and April for students and families. These mini-breaks are in addition to the existing Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break periods. The District is asking families to plan their vacations, trips, and other time off during these break periods so that students can maximize their participation in planned instructional days.

The Media Center Library will be closed on 12/13 and 12/14 for book inventory. Checking in and checking out books will not be allowed either day. Thank you for your cooperation.

We would like to invite your students, staff and families to our 3rd Annual Olympic Field Day next Saturday December 16th @ Cypress Creek HS track starting at 9:00am. This is wonderful FREE event that will consist of running, jumping, throwing, hurdling and parent vs kid relay race which is the most highly anticipated event to top off the fun and exciting day.

Olympic Field Day is a FREE and fun event that is designed to encourage kids to stay active, fight childhood obesity, build self esteem by inspiring them to believe in themselves. Our last 2 events reach capacity so we're encouraging everyone to sign their kids up early before it's too late.

Please Note:

• All participants must register online to reserve a spot
• We will have FREE snacks, water and fruit and end of event
• There will be a live DJ on site playing great energy music
• All participants will be separated in age groups

Cypress Creek Middle School is excited to announce a new partnership with Impact Counseling! Through this collaboration, counseling and group therapy services will be offered to our Coyote students at no cost to families!

As the need grows, these free mental health services will increase to support our students. If you are interested in having your student participate, please complete the two consent forms found below and email them to your child's grade level counselor:

We need your help! Communication has been sent to you reminding you about the Parent’s Bill of Rights Consent Form and emergency contact card needed for every student. Within the communication, links were provided to Parent Portal information and to the Parent Bill of Rights webpage.

It is important to complete these items. Otherwise, most incomplete consents will be viewed as permission granted by the parent or guardian.
