Message from Crocker's Principal
Dear Parents,
The mission of the Hillsborough City School District is to work in partnership with students, parents, and the community to educate the whole child in a nurturing and engaging environment. We empower students to achieve their potential in our ever-changing world, to build resilient critical thinkers who embrace civic responsibility as they strive to become people of good character, effective communicators, global citizens, and lifelong learners.
I am thankful for the vision of our school board, district leadership, educators, support staff, and our families. Each day we make decisions based on our mission to educate the whole child. We focus on the Whole Child Domain of inclusive academic instruction, inclusive social-emotional learning, and inclusive behavior support.
Navigating education in these times has been challenging for us all. Yet, our Crocker Vikings deserve our best each day. As we move forward, we continue to focus on safely providing as much normalcy for our students as possible. Our staff plans and designs learning experiences for our students to build critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Our student-facilitated activities: class competitions; dress-up days; virtual assemblies on empathy, community service; DREAM leaders; HTV; Crocker Radio are examples of the many ways our students are empowered to achieve their potential.
Keep on rocking and rolling, Crocker!

Crocker Spelling Bee News
Congratulations to sixth grader Tyler Y. who is our Crocker Spelling Champ. The spelling bee lasted an amazing twenty-three rounds, with the last two spellers battling for seven rounds. Sixth grader Allie V. was our second place finisher, and eighth grader Eva E. was our third place finisher.
Before winter break, each first period class held a classroom spelling bee to determine a class champ, and then those winners competed at lunch on January 25th to determine our school winner.
Our classroom spelling champs were: Augustine, Amaanya, Emi, Natalia, Max, Lina, Rosemary, Natalie, Ashley, Chase, Sophia, Brooke, Peyton, Syum, Jonathan, Sankar, Hunter, Hannah, Valentina, Elizabeth, Tyler, Allie and Eva. Good job to all our participants for being brave, trying something new and showing good sportsmanship.
The next step for our winner Tyler is to take an online qualifying test to see if he moves on to the Bay Area Regional level. Good luck, Tyler!!!
