We must enlist your help! The clothing that is left behind at Marigold has reached a critical level!! While we have beautiful spaces on our campus, an extra closet for left items is something we do not have. The piles are even overtaking our outdoor student dining space! PLEEEEASE, make it a daily habit to remind your student to bring all their clothing home. At the end of the day, check in to make sure they did! If something was forgotten - collect it when you come to school the following morning.

Another very helpful thing you can do is to LABEL EVERYTHING, clothing, water bottles, lunch boxes, backpacks.

Marigold Elementary School is incredibly grateful to Westside Spreading LLC for donating $370 worth of new books to our library! Their generosity helps provide students with exciting new stories to explore, fostering a love of reading and learning. Thank you for supporting our young readers and enriching their educational experience!

There is no need to call ahead when you want to sign your student out of class. When you arrive at the school office to sign them out, we will be happy to call the classroom for you. Please always allow a little extra time in case the class is outside at recess, at lunch, in the library, etc.

Only students who pre-order/pay online ahead of time OR bring an order envelope with money on picture day will be photographed. We are usually done by 10:00am. Online orders need to be submitted by 8:30am 4/25/25.

Do you need to add an emergency contact for your child's school record?

Do you need to change your address or your phone number? Here is how to make these changes yourself:

-Log into your parent portal at https://hac.chicousd.org

-Select Student Info tab on far left side

-Select Data Confirmation BEFORE selecting Contacts!

-Select Contacts

To edit a contact record, select the pencil/edit button, make changes, SAVE changes

To add a new contact, select Add, create new contact, SAVE changes

To delete a contact record, contact the main office.

TK/KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2025/26 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS MONDAY DECEMBER 2, 2024

To enter Kindergarten in the fall, a child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2025. To enter Transitional Kindergarten, a child must turn four on or before September 1, 2025.

Parents should register their children at the school serving their residence area (proof of residence is required).

You must begin the registration process online. Go to the ENROLL A STUDENT tab on Marigold's website . Read carefully all the documents required and how to submit documents to our school.

Please note that Form 10 School of Choice applications will be available December 2, 2024, with a deadline to submit by January 17, 2025 for first priority placement opportunities. You must still register at your resident school prior to submitting a Form 10.
