Color Blast Party
Let's make this a new tradition. This is our 2nd annual Color Blast Party! On June 15 we'll have fun color and movement stations for students to engage in. If students want to get blasted with color they can. Wear a white t-shirt and play clothes you don't mind getting color on. It's truly a BLAST! Pictures below from last year's event.
Class Placement 2023-2024

Welcome New Families~
New to Utsalady and NEW Kindergarten Open House on June 12th from 5-6.
We are welcoming our New Utsalady students and families on June 12th from 5:00-6:00. If you have a kindergarten student starting in the fall please RSVP and plan to attend.
Families moving to Elger Bay will have an open house on June 12th from 5:00-6:00. More details to come.
New elementary school next year? Let's visit the school!
Help us spread the word! Each elementary school is hosting a fun-filled open house from 5-6 p.m. June 12 for students and families who will be new to their school this fall.
You can explore their new building, meet the staff, and register for kindergarten in-person. Students can also get their photo taken with their school mascot!
Families also can register their student at any time at www.stanwood.wednet.edu/welcome.
Transitional Kindergarten and Pre-School Opportunity
After a successful launch of our new Transitional Kindergarten program in January 2023, we are proud to continue the program into the 2023-24 school year.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a free, full-day early entrance kindergarten program for children who will be 4 years old as of September 1, 2023.
Students are eligible for the program if they have not had prior access to early learning experiences and/or have been identified through a screening process as being in need of additional preparation based on academic or social-emotional deficits to be successful in kindergarten in the following year.
The program will begin in October, though the applications are being accepted starting May 17 on our TK website. Classes are taught by highly qualified teachers, and transportation will be provided. Space is limited.
Our goal is to provide families with the opportunity to ensure their students begin their school careers ready for kindergarten.
