This is a great opportunity to bless those less fortunate from our abundance in Christ! Please check in at the table beside the tree when choosing an angel so that the info can be recorded. :)

Vision
On November 5th, 2023, Alan announced that effective January 1st, 2024, he will be reducing his workload. He has served the NCC family faithfully for over 10 years and will continue to serve as Elder and as a part of Ministry Staff. Alan’s decision is a small part of a bigger shift into a new season for the NCC Family. I am excited, intimidated, and encouraged by what I have seen GOD doing among us in the past couple of years. The Elders and Staff consider this a perfect time to reframe the vision of who we are and where we are going (to hear that vision, you have to be here Sunday). :)
What even is VISION? It has become one of those trendy business buzzwords that has lost much of its meaning. For our context, we define vision from scripture (obviously!). Let’s take Proverbs 29:18 (ESV) as a great source for understanding Vision, “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint but blessed is he who keeps the law”. I have specifically chosen the ESV because it emphasizes the divine nature of Vision - that is, true vision is prophetic, or comes as a WORD FROM GOD. Any ministry vision without God’s Word is a form of blindness. The vision for who we are as Christ’s people and where we are going must grow from God’s Word and drive us to God’s mission in the world.
As we approach a season of thankfulness and celebration of Christ’s coming, let’s take some time to renew our vision. God is at work. Can you see it?
