San Marcos CISD Bond 2023 Overview
Today, San Marcos CISD is home to 8,400 students and is supported by over 1,300 teachers and staff, across 12 campuses. San Marcos CISD is dedicated to excellence in education and with your support of the 2023 Bond, we will be better prepared for the next generation of Rattlers to come.
After a comprehensive review and with the input of parents, students, teachers and community members, the SMCISD Board of Trustees voted to place a $166 million dollar bond referendum, consisting of FOUR propositions on the 2023 May ballot. For more information, please listen to Dr. Cardona's Corner Podcast episode, or visit smcisd.net/bond2023.
High School Diploma + Associate's Degree = Rattler Up
San Marcos CISD is proud to present the inaugural Early College High School (ECHS) Class of 2023! This program is comprised of SMHS students who have earned their Associate's Degree and high school diploma, simultaneously. The ECHS program still allows students to participate in extracurricular activities, obtain CTE certifications, take Advanced Placement courses, and even participate in clubs and organizations.
The SMCISD Communications department will be featuring graduates every week, leading up to graduation, via social media, our website and the Rattler Recap. If you see any of our ECHS grads, be sure to wish them a warm Rattler congratulations!
Sweep Sound
Our San Marcos High School Rattler Band sounded wonderful at the UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contest on Friday, April 14.
