Food Drive to Benefit Kennett Area Community Service!
UCFSD's food drive to benefit the KACS ends tomorrow, Monday, October 3rd. Please send in those non-perishable food items for this special cause!
All four UCFSD elementaries will be participating in a friendly competition for a school-wide popsicle party. Or if we collectively donate 5,000 lbs of food, ALL elementary schools will win a popsicle party!
Last fall, UE alone collected nearly 1,100 lbs of food. We have an opportunity to do some good at a time when it is very much needed.
It's time to shine UE!

FOCUS to Present a Webinar on Childhood Trauma!
FOCUS proudly presents this year's first webinar for adults in our community on Childhood Trauma by Beth Tyson, MA of Beth Tyson Trauma Consulting on Wednesday, October 12th from 7:00 - 8:30 via Zoom.
Childhood trauma is prevalent in our society. The pandemic, school violence, medical trauma, family separation, bullying, poverty, racism, and political unrest are all examples of potential traumas that we face every day.
For years we’ve believed that something was wrong with us when we suffered from mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. We now know that these involuntary physiological responses typically tie back to traumatic events in a person’s life.
In this workshop on Childhood Trauma, you will be introduced to this concept, and how to begin the healing process.
