Summer 2023 Update
It is hard to believe that we are only one week away from the start of the 2023-2024 school year! Everyone is busily preparing classrooms and the entire building for the new year - the building will be shining to welcome everyone back on August 23rd.
As your begin planning for our return to school, a reminder about our school day. School begins each day at 8:50a and concludes at 3:20p. Students will get marked tardy if they arrive at school after 8:55a, so please be sure that students arrive by 8:50a.
I've left the information for our last summer update towards the bottom of this newsletter, but I wanted to get out some new info as well. Our new news includes an introduction from our Principal Intern, Ms. Shayla Ivezzy and important upcoming dates.
🌟 Welcome, Ms. Shayla Ivezzy 🌟
Greetings Noble Families,
My name is Shayla Ivezzy and I am excited to be joining the leadership team at Noble Elementary this year. I am a native Clevelander and have taught Special Education in Cleveland schools for the past six years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College, a Master of Science in Education from John Hopkins University, and currently I am pursuing an Executive MBA along with my Principal Licensure through the BRIGHT Program at Ohio State University. I share my educational background with you because education has played a significant role in my life and in my work. I believe that we are all lifelong learners and I look forward to sharing my passion for teaching and learning with all of you. I am the proud parent of a 9 year old boy who motivates me to work just as hard for other children as I do for him. I am a mother, educator, child advocate, and equity practitioner. It is my hope and aspiration to work in partnership with all Noble families and on behalf of all our scholar(s). Thank you for welcoming me into Tiger Nation!

Noble Student Dismissal Survey

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
We are so lucky to have a wonderful Parent Teacher Association, or PTA, here at Noble Elementary School. We welcome any and all family members - parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. - to join our Noble PTA. Consider becoming a member today and learn about all the wonderful ways you can support Noble Elementary School, our staff, and our students.
CLICK HERE to be directed to the membership page of our PTA site.
School Communication
While there will be much more communication coming out to our families throughout the beginning of August, I wanted to make sure that you are connected to our two main communication platforms. If you have any questions or concerns during these coming weeks, though, you can always email me at P_Carpenter@chuh.org.
Infinite Campus
Infinite Campus is a district-wide tool used to keep families updated on student progress (attendance, grades, and report cards) and district-wide information (including weekly newsletters, notifications about calamity days, etc.)
We aspire to have each household connected to Infinite Campus, so if you do not already have an account, please CLICK HERE to begin the process. You will receive an email once an account has been set up for you.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is our schoolwide communication system. It is free to create an account and will be the primary source of school communication to families. Your child's teacher can message you individually through this platform as well as share classroom-wide notifications, celebrations, and photos. You can access Class Dojo on both your personal device (through downloading the free Class Dojo app) or on a laptop/desktop.
We also use the Class Dojo platform to celebrate our student meeting schoolwide expectations. Scholars can earn PBIS points for meeting our expectations of (1) Being Respectful, (2) Being Responsible, (3) Being Safe, and (4) Being Kind. Biweekly, scholars get to spend their PBIS points at our schoolwide Scholar Store. As a parent connected to your child's Class Dojo account, you can view how many points they have earned each day.
If you are not yet connected, you will be able to sign up at New Family Orientations or during the first week of school. CLICK HERE to access the Class Dojo website. Families that are already connected - please be sure to check the app for messages and notifications regularly to stay informed.
