Chequamegon North Board Report

During the first full week of February, I attended the Middle School/High School Principal's conference in Madison put on by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators. I have also had the privilege of serving on the Advisory Committee for this conference for the last two years. This experience has allowed my voice to be heard on professional learning topics presented at these events. It has been an enjoyable project, and the conference was rejuvenating, reinvigorating, and educational. I enjoyed networking with principals in our area, making many positive connections, and inspiring ideas to help raise expectations for student learning and achievement at Chequamegon North.

The Chequamegon Middle School Forensics team competed in a level 1 competition earlier this month, with 13 students competing in-person for Level I and five students competing virtually through videos due to sports conflicts. On Thursday, February 29, all 20 students will return to Washburn for the Level 2 competition, which will conclude their season.

Eighth graders started fundraising on Monday, February 12 for their 8th grade class trip. Students are selling three types of trashbags: 15 gallon (white), 39 gallon (green) and 55 gallon (blue). I attached a flyer for reference. Orders are due March 1, 2024. If you need more order forms or a new one, please let me know.
