Book Club at Hayes
16 Hayes first graders participated in a book club lunch on Monday, January 22 with Miss Rouzer and Ms. Lauren. They each received a copy of King and Kayla The Case of the Missing Dog Treats earlier in the month to read at home. All students read the book and were excited to get together to share. They talked about their favorite parts of the story and whether they figured out the treat thief before the main character. Books and snacks were provided by a Fridley School Foundation grant. Miss Rouzer and Ms. Lauren plan to host 3 more book clubs for other grades this year and have already hosted one with 4th graders.
