MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS / TRANSPORTATION

  • Claude and David were presenters at the BISD LEAD Conference. Great Job!

  • The final inspection from the warranty portion of Duralast has occurred. A walking path material will be installed on the gym and cafeteria for HVAC maintenance.


  • The Finley-Oates Flooring Project will be complete very soon or it may be complete as you are reading this. The BISD Maintenance staff have rebuilt the restroom, center walls that include the plumbing. As they rebuilt the walls, they also repaired and replaced several old plumbing parts.


  • The grass, clover, and weeds are growing so our grounds guys are staying busy with mowing, edging, trimming, and spraying.


  • Several HVAC units are struggling to keep our buildings cool during this heatwave. Mike Hayes and Jim Currin have been on every roof and in every building to have all the systems running and ready for the staff and students.

TECHNOLOGY

  • Mike and Stephanie were presenters at the BISD LEAD Conference. Great Job!

  • A bluetooth module was installed in the new BHS competition gym sound cabinet to control the system from anywhere in the gym.

  • 100 new Chromebooks have been setup for the LH Rather campus. Throughout the district, other student Chromebooks are being repaired based on damage the librarians discovered while checking each cart at the end of the school year.


  • Our team archived Eduphoria data and set up the data for the new instructional year. We are also working with Region 10 on moving our student data hosting.


  • A Virtual Camera Server has been installed and in process of being setup with the demo licensing for all the campus cameras to see if this will meet our needs for surveillance, storage, and retrieval. The new video storage array arrived, has been setup, and is currently saving camera data.


  • Our team is working with BHS Robotics to finalize the computer imaging needed for their new student laptops.


  • The new copiers have been installed, Daniel is finishing up the programming of the software with the vendor, and implementing new features.
