Let's Team Up for a Successful Spring!
I hope this message finds you well! As we gear up for an exciting and fast Spring semester in your child's education, I wanted to reach out and share some thoughts about how we can work together to ensure their success.
With the wrap up of this school year just around the corner and possible progress/retention conferences on the horizon, it's crucial that we create a supportive environment both at school and at home. By reinforcing positive behaviors and encouraging active listening, we can empower your child to make the most of their learning experience.
Here are a few friendly reminders that can make a big difference:
Encourage a Growth Mindset: Remind your child that their abilities are not fixed, and with effort and perseverance, they can overcome challenges and achieve great things.
Set a Routine: Establishing a consistent daily routine can help your child feel more organized and prepared for each school day. This includes a regular bedtime, a healthy breakfast, and dedicated study time.
Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge and celebrate your child's accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Positive reinforcement goes a long way in boosting their confidence and motivation.
Open Communication: Keep the lines of communication open between us. If you notice any changes in your child's behavior or have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Remember, we're a team, and together we can create an environment where your child can thrive academically and personally. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership!
Wishing you and your family a fantastic Spring semester!
Warm regards,
Anitra Wilson, Principal
Kindness Week
What started as Kindness Day turned into Kindness Week, where everyone is encouraged to make a similar declaration of kindness and charity. The week is celebrated by donating books, food, or clothes to local communities and pledging to empathize with other people. We will have daily reminders of ways to demonstrate kindness on the announcements in addition to dress up days.

Sugar Land City Hall Artwork Display in January!
Hello Rocket Families! Celebrate our Rosa Parks Elementary young artists with me!
Every month throughout the school year, every art teacher in the district gets to show off their student’s artwork at a chosen location for the public to see. Our amazing art department was able to work out a deal with Sugarland City Hall for our Fort bend teachers to display the students work. January was RPE’s time to shine! The pictures provided are by four of our amazing students who have worked hard this year and were chosen to be displayed.
Let us celebrate these amazing artists for their hard work and dedication here at RPE. I am honored and delighted to have taken these students to city hall. I can’t wait for next year’s artist to shine just as bright!
-Sincerely Ms. Mooneyham, RPE Art Teacher
