Apply for Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program
During the 2022-2023 school year, free and reduced-price meals will be provided to those who have submitted an approved application. This differs from the 2021-2022 school year, when all elementary and middle school students could receive free meals because of temporary federal funding in response to the COVID pandemic.
If you believe you qualify for the free and reduced-price meal program, applications will open on July 1, and are necessary as the federal program that allowed all elementary and middle school students to eat free will NOT carry over to the 2022-2023 school year.
Free and reduced-price meal program applications will be available online or at all NISD school front offices. Click here for instructions on how to complete a paper application if you prefer. Those who applied and were accepted into the free and reduced-price meal program last year will receive a 30-day grace period of the program. A new accepted application will be required after this time period.
