Willow Parent Bulletin #36
May 26, 2023
W, X, Y, Z.... the countdown is almost done!
On Monday, the 8th graders graduating from James Hart came and took a final walk through where most of them started in District 153. It was fun to hear their reflections from their times at Willow! Fly high graduates, we know you'll be amazing!
Tuesday and Wednesday gave us nice weather for our annual kickball tournament. Check out some of the pictures below. Congratulations to all! We saw great examples of respect and teamwork both on and off the field!
K winner: Ms. Stevens class
1st winner: Mrs. Alspaugh's class
2nd winner: Mrs. Boehms class
Wednesday was also our culminating celebration for our Unified Champions. With help from Police Chief Denise McGrath, Deputy Chief Kelly Strayer and members of the Special Olympics Region E staff we wrapped up their year of hard work. We grilled out, played games, and spent time in the jump house. I am so proud of our athletes for their effort and determination. We also couldn't have done it without their peer mentors who showed patience and compassion. What a great example of all things Willow!
Kindergarten rounded out their week with field day today. We had a great turn out of parental help! Thank youi for helping make this such a fun day for our Wildcats! We'll see you next Wednesday fr the boxcar parade at 2:15PM.
Mrs. Boehm held her last Poetry Slam today. The class did well memorzing their lines and the room was full of supportive family! (snap, snap)
We expect next week to be just as busy! The temperatures look warm, so please make sure your child has a leak-proof water bottle. Enjoy your 3 day weekend and be safe, caring and ready!
