Greetings Trojan Family,

This is a message from your Proud Principal, Leslie Kinard.

Preparation for EOGs

We are finishing up the last few units of the year and preparing for EOGs. Please make sure your student is here daily. Attendance is important.

One Card and Devices

Please make sure your students brings their One Card daily along with their device. All of our FMS students have been issued both.

Social Media

Families, we need your help. Please assist us by monitoring your student's social media, if you allow them to have it. Sit down with your student and preview the content on their pages and the conversations they are having in group chats with other students. Your vigilance will help us ensure that students are making good choices while using those platforms.

Safety

As a district and school, we are taking every precaution to ensure the continued safety of our students. Here's how you can help:

If your student is sick, please keep them at home. Our teachers will be updating assignments on Canvas. Students experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and get a test for COVID-19 on day five.
If you suspect or confirm that your student has COVID-19, please report it immediately by contacting the school at 336-819-2855 or emailing our data manager Ms. Pierce.

Teacher Appreciation Week May 2 - May 6

It's National Teacher Appreciation Week. Please help us recognize the hard work and dedication our teachers have provided throughout this difficult year. During this week, if you'd like to recognize a teacher - a note, small gift, snacks, or gift cards are typically the types of appreciation received this week.

School Bond Information Session

We will host a virtual school bond information session, Tuesday May 3rd at 5pm. This will be a short meeting held to provide information about the school bond.

8th Grade Graduation Photos

Attention 8th grade parents, 8th grade graduation photos will be taken Wednesday, May 4th. Picture information went home with students last week. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Thompson, our Media Specialist.

School Lunch Hero Day

We will recognize our Food and Nutrition Staff this Friday, May 6th for School Lunch Hero Day. We thank them for all they do and for keeping our students fed throughout the year.
