Softball Well Represented on All-State Team
Hewitt-Trussville Softball, the 7A State Champions, were well represented on the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State Team.
Head Coach Taylor Burt, who has led the Huskies to two state titles, was named 7A Coach of the Year. Kenleigh Cahalan was named 7A Hitter of the Year. Joining Cahalan on the First Team were Jenna Lord, Anyce Harvey, and Crystal Maze.
Sara Phillips was named Second Team and Riley Tyree was named Honorable Mention.

HT Baseball Places Three on All-State Team
Hewitt-Trussville Baseball placed three student-athletes on the Alabama Writers Association All-State Team this week.
Riley Quick was named First Team and also took home Pitcher of the Year honors. Trey Burrell was named to the Second Team and Ethan Duhon was named Honorable Mention.

Hewitt-Trussville High School Named AHSAA Sportsmanship School
The Alabama High School Athletic Association recenently named Hewitt-Trussville High School as a sportsmanship school for the 2020-2021 school year. Schools that did not have an ejection or a fine during the school year were recognized as a sportsmanship school. HTHS was one of six 7A schools on the list, and the only school from metro Birmingham. The recipient schools will be recognized at the 2021 AHSAA Sportsmanship Luncheon on July 23 at the Renaissance Hotel and Montgomery Convention Center.

2021-2022 Student Athletic Paperwork Now Available
The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) requires all student-athletes to complete eligibility paperwork each year. For the fourth consecutive year, this process will be done online rather than in paper copy. Any student, wishing to participate in athletics, that will be in grades 7-12 for the 2021-2022 school year will be required to complete this process. Please follow the instructions below to complete these forms for the 2021-2022 school year. Students' forms must be 100% complete in order to participate in athletics this summer or during the 2021-2022 school year. This is for AHSAA sanctioned sports only.
*AHSAA recently announced that they will accept current physicals through August 1, 2021. Mass physicals will not be held this year.
*If you already set up a Dragonfly account, please DO NOT create another account. If you forgot your password, visit www.dragonflymax.com and select "Login/Sign-Up"
Then select "Forgot Password"

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Do My Forms"
3. Read the instructions then select "Create Your Account & Complete Forms"
4. Click "Sign up for Free"
5. Create a PARENT account and complete forms
**You will be asked for a school code. They are GBVYT7 for Hewitt Trussville High School and VUNAZY for Hewitt-Trussville Middle School
Football Passing Academy
Hewitt-Trussville Football will host the 2021 Elite Passing Academy June 21-23 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. This camp is for TCS students going into 4th-8th grade. See the flier below to sign up.
Husky Hoops Tip-Off Camp
Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball is scheduled to host the Husky Hoops Tip-Off Camp beginning July 12. The event will run July 12-July 14 from 9am-Noon each day. The event will be held inside Bryant Bank Arena at Hewitt-Trussville High School.

Huskies Well Represented in AHSAA All-Star Games
The Alabama High School Athletic Association will hold its annual summer conference July 19-23. There will be a total of 12 all-star games during the week that feature rising Seniors. The Huskies will be represented in eight of those contests.

Sign up Now for 2021-2022 HTHS Track and Field
Anyone interested in doing track and field for the 2021-22 school year at HTHS should sign up at the following link:

There will be summer and fall opportunities for training, and we make it a priority to work with other sports. Email Coach Esslinger at tom.esslinger@trussvillecityschools.org with questions. It was the most successful year in program history with two state championships, and there is something for everyone (sprinting, distance running, jumping, throwing).
Girls Flag Football
The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) recently announced that Girls Flag Football will be a sanctioned sport in the Fall of 2021. Hewitt-Trussville High School plans to field a Varsity Girls Flag Football team if enough students are interested.
If you are a female student in grades 7-12 and plan to tryout for the Varsity Girls Flag Football team, please complete the google form below. More information will be shared when available.

Any rising 7th-8th graders interested in running cross country should sign up using the google form below.
Evaluations for MS runners will be May 24 from 3:30pm-5pm at the track. This will be an opportunity for new runners to learn about the sport prior to summer workouts.
