Gayman Elementary Home and School Association has a tradition of hosting 4 after school club events for our 6th grade students. These events will incur a fee to attend.

GHSA is happy to announce our first 6th grade Club Event. All Gayman 6th grade student are invited to stay after school on Friday, September 17th from 3:15-5:00PM to play Kickball at Gayman Elementary School with their classmates. They will also enjoy a soft pretzel and water ice!

Please give $3 to your child's teacher along with the permission slip from your child's teacher. You may also submit payment to our Venmo account @Gayman-HomeandSchool. If you choose to use the Venmo payment option, please note: "6th Grade Club Kickball" and your child's name. If this fee presents a hardship to your family, please contact Mrs. Carter.

The Central Bucks School District and NAMI Bucks County PA are pleased to partner together to offer this program to our community. The event is open to students, adults, and families, and free childcare will be provided for all or a portion of the event as needed. The state of Pennsylvania requires students in certain grades to have health exams.

• Kindergarten and New students: Dental and Physical Exams
• Grades 3 and 7: Dental Exam
• Grades 6 and 11: Physical Exam

The dental and physical forms can be found HERE. The exams must be completed after 9/1/2020. The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Sara Hedges, our school nurse, no later than October 15, 2021. You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records.

The Central Bucks School District is changing the way student absences are reported. Now, parents and guardians are able to submit an absence request via the Parent Portal.

When a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, the following communication will be sent:

• A text message will be sent mid-morning notifying the parent or guardian of the absence.
• An email will also be sent at the end of the school day reminding the parent or guardian that the student was marked absent.

All Central Bucks School District Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the staff, students, sports programs and other activities of our schools. Please click here for detailed information and answers to frequently asked questions about required clearances and volunteering in CBSD.

Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distributions run from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. We generally have free dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and bread, and often have some frozen meat and poultry. By our estimates, 1,500 CB children may experience temporary or chronic food insecurity—a statistic which should not exist in a community with our resources.

Our completely volunteer-run and managed organization was founded on two beliefs: 1) During times of need, which we all experience in one form or another, we should be able to count on the compassion and support of our neighbors; and 2) Our community’s collective commitment to our children is a bond much stronger than all of the other forces that might otherwise divide us.

Welcome back to school! This year the GHSA has decided to follow the lead of other schools in the district and implement annual Family Dues to help supplement the cost of all the amazing experiences the Home and School Association helps bring to Gayman Elementary. All of which directly benefit our children. The additional funds are necessary to maintain our current school events and programs.

We are suggesting $25 per child as 2021-2022 annual dues.

GHSA is thrilled to offer payment through VENMO. To submit your venmo payment: @Gayman-HomeandSchool please reference your child’s Last Name and 2021-2022 Family Dues.
