Community Service: You're probably eating a lot...remind your parents to keep scanning their receipts for Box Tops. The money goes to our school to purchase supplies.
Coping Skills: It's hard to spend so much time with parents or your siblings and not get mad or frustrated. That's okay! Now is a great time to work on your coping skills. Try to remember what we talked about in class before. Listen to "The Good Egg" and try out one of the strategies from the book. What ones make you feel better? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWx8R4l3orE

Kindergarten:
1. The Music Show Episode #1-The Beat
http://www.viewpure.com/xk-QMsO4VwI?start=0&end=0
Now that you know about the beat, see if you can find your heartbeat when your acting Presto (running outside, jumping on a trampoline, riding a bike) or when you are acting Largo (lying on your bed, reading a book, walking).
Listen to a favorite song and find the steady beat.
2. Go on an fast/slow egg hunt. Write the words presto and largo several times to practice writing. Cut out the words and place in plastic eggs. Have someone hide them around the house. When you find an egg, practice reading Presto/Largo and move fast/slow to find the next egg. Make it more fun by adding candy ;)
1st-5th: We're Going on an Egg Rhythm Hunt
Write your own 4 beat rhythms (or copy the ones below to cut out). Put them inside plastic eggs. Have an egg hunt in your house or outside. When you find a hidden egg, clap and count the rhythms for your parents/siblings. Then find the next one. How many did you find? If you put candy or treats inside your eggs, can you arrange them in a rhythm?
OR
West African Drumming:
Learn about the music from West Africa and the many percussion instruments/grooves you can create using a mixer board.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: Mrs. Koester
If you are looking for even MORE fun things to do, ask mom or dad to follow me on Twitter at @DawnKoester1 where I have found a million different easy, fun activities.
If you have a great idea of something fun for all of us to do, please feel free to send me a video or an email explaining how to do it. I would LOVE to see what you are coming up with to stay active. I have already received a couple messages showing me a family jumping jack challenge and a really cool new dance that someone came up with!
Here are a few of my favorite GoNoodle activities. You can find them all on YouTube and don't even have to have a GoNoodle account (but it is fun to keep track of your movement progress if you do have an account!).
Get everyone to join you! The more the sillier!
