HTHS Special Olympians Lead & Compete
Magnolia Athletes Compete for the Gold
The following Magnolia students recently participated in Special Olympics track and field events held at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium: Cayden, Jeremiah, Tyson, and Zac. Greatly missed was JW, who cheered his teammates on from a distance. Magnolia celebrated these participants with a joyous send-off as the entire Magnolia family lined the hallways and cheered them on. The send-off was complete with a police-siren escort led by Officer Brown, Magnolia's School Resource Officer. Thanks to Cindy Massey, Magnolia bus driver, for transporting the team to and from the event, and to Fran Box, Mary Beasley, and Marla Serena for supervising throughout the day.
Congratulations to these Special Olympians who represented Magnolia so well:
- Cayden: first place in javelin throw and first place in 50 meter run
- Jeremiah: first place in 100 meter walk and fourth place in softball throw
- Tyson: first place in long jump and first place in 100 meter run
- Zac: third place in javelin throw and fourth place in 50 meter run

Cahaba Welcomes New Students
Cahaba was thrilled to host our annual Newcomers Breakfast, a warm and inviting event designed to welcome the newest members of our school family. With open arms, we greeted 41 new students, each with a smile as sweet as the breakfast treats we shared. The morning was filled with laughter, delicious pastries, and heartfelt conversations. One of the highlights was a special Q&A session led by our wonderful principal, Mrs. Tyner. She shared insights into our school's vibrant community, its values, and the support systems in place to ensure every child's success. It was a fantastic opportunity for our newcomers to connect, ask questions, and begin their journey at Cahaba with confidence. Here's to a school year filled with friendship, learning, and endless possibilities!
