Turkey Battles was a HUGE success! We were able to raise just over $2,500 for Pantry Pals! Thank you to everyone that was able to make a donation! The staff and students had a lot of fun during this friendly competition! The winning turkey will be announced Monday! I am so proud of everyone for coming together to make a huge impact on the members of our community!

Only one more full week until Thanksgiving break! Everyone is hard at work. I am so proud of the progress, teamwork and dedication that I am seeing from Hendricks students, staff and families!

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend our Veterans Day program! We are honored to celebrate the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces! Thank you all for your dedication and service to keeping us safe! Thank you to Ms. Kuhn, Miss Gilpin and the Hurricane Singers for their hard work in giving a great performance!

We are looking forward to Donuts with Grown-Ups this week! We hope everyone can make it to Hendricks on Thursday, November 16 at 7:00 am for a breakfast treat and some time with your favorite Hurricane! We will also be hosting All Pro Dads on Friday, November 17 at 6:45 am! This is a great organization! We hope to see you there!

Girls Basketball practices continue this week. Here is the schedule and try-out information.

Players, please make sure you come to practice with tennis shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to begin.

In an effort to eliminate the wait time after school Hendricks will be reorganizing dismissal at the end of each day. Students going to the Boys/Girls Club after school, will be dismissed to buses at 2:18. They will be transported to the Club and the buses will return to HES. Once all of the buses arrive back at HES, the remaining students will load to go home. This will delay dismissal 5-10 minutes each day. This process will begin on Monday, October 16, 2023. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions! Thanks for understanding!

We are asking that any requests for a transportation change be submitted to the office no later than 1:30 pm daily. A reminder that requests must be consistent throughout the week, meaning that the pick up and/or drop off address remains the same all week.
