Good afternoon Woodbrook Families,
Shout out to the 2nd graders and their teachers for leading a wonderful school-wide morning meeting. We celebrated the CARES trait, empathy. Empathy means the ability to know your own and others feelings. Congratulations to all the students recognized for their empathy!
Last Friday, we had a packed house of 2nd and 3rd grade students and families. The performers put on a fantastic show! Thank you to our musical teachers Ms. Gary, Mr. Grasso, and the 3rd and 2nd grade teachers.
Looking forward to welcoming students back to the building on Tuesday, Feb. 21st. Enjoy the long weekend, as teachers will be in professional learning on Monday, Feb. 20th.

Dear Woodbrook Families,
First, we understand that on Wednesday many families did not receive notification about the two hour delay due to inclement weather. The Albemarle County Public School division will continue to send these notices, but we learned that there was a technical issue that resulted in delays. Going forward, Woodbrook will also send out a Remind message once we hear of any weather related delays or closures. If you are not currently on Remind, please reach out to your child’s teacher to sign up.
Second, we are excited to announce the second musical performance of the year. On February 10th, we will have the 2nd/3rd grade concert - "Our Musical Debut" at 1:15 pm and 6:30 pm - in the WES gym. During the day, students will perform for Woodbrook students and staff. Family and community members are invited for the evening performance.
