Colonial Park Weekly News
February 12 - February 16
Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
It is hard to believe we are one week away from February vacation! Just a reminder, Friday, February 16, is an Early Release Day for all Stoneham Public School students. Our preschool students will be dismissed at 11:40, and students in grades K-4 will be dismissed at 12:00. All Stoneham Public Schools will be closed Monday, February 19 through Friday, February 23 for February vacation.
Valentine's Day is coming up on Wednesday, February 14, and many of our classrooms will participate in a Valentine exchange. Please do not attach food or candy to your child's valentines. Non-food items are definitely fine to provide; however, there is a district-wide policy regarding food being provided or shared with other children. Thank you in advance!
Parent Teacher Conferences for Term 2 will be held on Wednesday, March 6 from 4:00 to 7:00pm and Thursday, March 7 from 1:00 to 4:00pm, and report cards/progress reports will be sent home on Monday, March 4. Teachers will be sending a sign-up schedule for families on Monday, February 26, and parents and guardians will have the option of selecting a virtual or in-person conference.
There will be no Weekly News sent out next Sunday, and our next edition will be on Sunday, February 25. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a fun, restful February vacation!
Best,
Rosa Flynn
