Practices were productive, games were spirited and the week was capped off with a HUGE HIT at the Cougar Classic! The team took second place, and had their very best performance of the year so far! The coaches are unbelievably proud of the hard work, perseverance and determination the team has shown working to prepare for States!

Boys Swimming
Last Thursday, the boys swim team lost to Spring-Ford, 105.5-74.5. Despite the loss, there were a number of personal best times and seasonal best times. Shout out to Troy Fink for stepping up to dive for the Warriors. Currently, Methacton does not have a diving program which becomes an issue when we compete against well matched teams. Diving still counts as points toward the overall score. Troy recognized that if he were to dive in the meet and place, then we would possibly only be behind by 2 points rather than 6. Troy has previous diving experience and wanted to help the team out. Swimmer of the meet was Dante Pineiro who had two personal best swims in 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Upcoming Events:
Monday 1/22 - Meet vs Upper Merion HS (AWAY)
Tuesday 1/23 - Meet vs Upper Perkiomen HS (HOME)
Thursday 1/25 - Meet vs Souderton HS (HOME) SENIOR NIGHT

PACS are in three weeks, so this coming week we swim Upper Merion, Upper Perkiomen, and our senior meet is Thursday January 25th against Souderton. Looking for some swimmers this week to achieve their PAC qualifying times!
