WHY ALL FAMILIES SHOULD COMPLETE THE FREE & REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATION
In order to qualify for reduced fees, a Free/Reduced Lunch Application must be submitted every year. This can be done at https://www.payschoolscentral.com/ We will have paper copies of the application available in the front office.
- Students that qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch also qualify for reduced or waived student fees.
- The federal government still covers the cost of meals for students that qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch. The new Colorado law covers the cost of the rest of the meals.
- Other school funding from the federal government is based on the number of students qualifying for Free & Reduced Lunch. It averages out to about $500 more per student that qualified for FRL.
- Northeast is a Title I school that receives significant funding for staffing based on our free/reduced percentages.
Northeast Musical
Drumroll please! It's time to announce the Northeast Musical - The Big Bad Musical! In this courtroom comedy show, the audience must decide the fate of the Big Bad Wolf. Follow along as upset fairytale characters like the Three Little Pigs, the Boy Who Cried Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood and others file a lawsuit against him to settle their past grievances. Any interested 4th and 5th grade students may sign up to participate with Mrs. Heilig in the music room and should plan to come after school on Thursday, September 7th from 3:45-5:00pm for our first rehearsal. Parts will be decided at the end of this rehearsal, so please reach out if your student is interested in participating but unable to attend the first rehearsal. Rehearsals will run every Thursday (until December) after school from 3:45-5:00pm. Please email Mrs. Heilig at hheilig@sd27j.net with questions!
