2021-22 SCS DISTRICT OPERATING PROCEDURES
FEATURED “SCS JOB OF THE WEEK”
Strongsville City Schools are hiring for a number of different positions in our District. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic workers who are interested in being a part of the growth and development of Strongsville students. Our featured 'SCS Job of the Week' - Substitute Teachers across our District! Per recent state legislation, SCS will sponsor temporary Substitute Teacher licensure to individuals holding less than a bachelor's degree for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year. Ideal candidates are those with any post secondary coursework in the area of education or those with experience working with children in a group setting. Education majors who might be home on Winter Break are encouraged to apply, as well. Questions? Contact our Human Resources office at 440.572.7038 or 440.572.7037 or visit www.strongnet.org.

For his Eagle Scout project, he designed and built a patio and fire pit for the Strongsville United Methodist Church. This project required over 200 volunteer hours, which was done with the help of Scouts and adult leaders.

MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. ANGELA CORRIGAN, 5TH GRADE TEACHER AT SURRARRER ELEMENTARY
Mrs. Angela Corrigan has been working in our District for 19 years. Mrs. Corrigan has worked at Saints Joseph and John’s Learning Center and Zellers Elementary, prior to her current school - Surrarrer Elementary (5th Grade). She received her undergraduate degree from Ashland University and her graduate degree from Baldwin Wallace.
“I enjoy building relationships with all of my students and letting them see I truly care about their well being and success. I also like seeing when the "lightbulb" goes off when they make a connection - sometimes I get more excited than them! I love to support my students outside of the school day in their interests and activities. It is great to see them excel in other areas outside of the classroom,” said Mrs. Corrigan.
“Surrarrer is an excellent place to work. The staff here is like my second family and I truly appreciate the relationships I have built along the way. We are definitely a team!”
Thank you Mrs. Corrigan for helping 5th grade students at Surrarrer continue to develop and for preparing them for their next important transition to the middle school! #WeAreStrongsville
