Hello Pyle Families,

This week students in our upper-grade classrooms began state testing. Thank you families for helping to make sure they are well-rested and arrive on time so that we can show all that they learned this year. Testing continues for students in grades 3-6 next week.

Next Tuesday, we will be having our ELAC meeting in room 21 at 9:00 am. We will be having a special guest presenter from Education Through Music Los Angeles (ETMLA) to share some fun ways that music can be integrated into our lives. We appreciate our ETMLA partnership and hope that you will be able to join us for this parent meeting.

Tuesday afternoon we will be holding our last Disciplina Positiva virtual meeting for this year. If you are able to join please log in to hear about ways that we can use positive discipline to communicate effectively with our children. Please see below for the link to join.

Monday, our PTA will be kicking off the spring fundraiser. Thank you in advance to those families who are able to help us raise money for the PTA to continue providing amazing events for our students.

Yearbooks are available now for purchase online (pre-order) for the low cost of $28 each. You may order online now until May 5th. After May 5th, Yearbooks will only be sold through our PTA at $28 cash. Please note that PTA will not have change available and yearbooks are on a first-come first served basis. Hello Pyle Families,

Title 1 Survey

Ernie Pyle is a Title 1 school. Each year in the fall we host a title 1 meeting to share with families what this means. If you were not able to make it to this meeting the presentation is posted on ErniePyleElementary.org on the home page and you can access it by selecting the "Parent Meetings" button. Our Title 1 parent engagement policy is also located on our website under the parent's tab. We have a spring parent survey and we need your help. Please click here to take this survey.

Open enrollment for Kindergarten and TK is now open and will continue until the last day of school and will reopen in August when the school sites return from the summer break. A link for the TK application and enrollment for 2023-24 is available on the District website for parents/guardians.

All students have access in their Clever accounts to a program called Paper Tutoring. This program is for students in grades TK through 12 and it is completely free on-demand tutoring assistance. Please remind your students that this is available to them should they want or need any help on any assignments.
