All About the Flag
Students were recognized for their Flag Essays at Clayton Ridge Elementary. Clay-Gar Post 723 recognized three fifth graders for their essays: Jayda Werger earned third place, Amelia Miller earned second place, and our first place winner was Kacie Hatcher.

Congratulations to these middle school kids who participated in the Tri-State honor band in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday!

Fifth graders enjoy learning spelling words with friends and playing a game makes learning even more fun!

Preschool students had a fun time creating crafts for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day and Easter holidays with high school students.
Guttenberg Campus Professional Development
On Wednesday, February 8th teachers were led by Instructional/tech coach Nicole DeGidio in preparing for KAGAN coaching in the classroom on Monday, February 27. Teachers will have a KAGAN trainer observe in their classroom and provide feedback on the structures they are using.
Winter Sports Pep Assembly
On Friday, February 10, winter sports' athletes and performers were recognized at a 6-12 assembly.
School Counselors Week
The sixth-twelfth grade is celebrating National School Counselors Week by showing appreciation for all the work she does! Thank you, Mrs. Hansel, for all the work you do to support students, families, and staff!
The elementary is celebrating national school counselors week by giving a big shout out to our school counselor Mrs. Thomas.
100th Day of School
Third graders dress like it is 100 degrees for the 100th day of school. For the 100th day of school, the third graders got to dress like it was 100 degrees outside and got to take pictures in front of the green screen.
Kindergarten had a blast finding 100 Hershey kisses in the classroom and then matching its number to a hundred chart! We are 100 days smarter!!
Read Across America with Fifth Grade and Preschool
The preschoolers and fifth graders gathered together to celebrate Read Across America. Everyone loves Reading Buddy Time!
Dr. Seuss Week
Today 5th graders celebrated Cat In The Hat and wore their favorite hat and stripes!
5th graders dressed in red and blue for One Fish Two Fish today and created Truffala Trees and The Lorax.
5th graders wore pajamas to celebrate Dr. Seuss's book Sleep!
5th grade students had fun with silly and mismatch sock day! Reading is fun! Let's celebrate Dr. Seuss and Read Across America all week!

CRHS Students Attend NICC's College and Career Connection High Demand Skilled Trades Event
On Tuesday, February 7 the NICC College and Career Connection High Demand Skilled Trades Event was held at Kendrick Forrest Products in Edgewood.

Creating Valentine's Day Boxes in Fourth Grade
Miss Hess’ class had the option of creating their own Valentine's Day
treat boxes. They turned out great!
Fifth Graders Craft with Kindergarten
Fifth graders enjoyed making "Love You Too Pieces" Valentine's Day craft with Kindergarteners. The 5th graders and kindergarten classes got together for a fun activity for Valentine's Day. Following the activity, they were able to read together!
Winners of Ms. Hess's STEM Activity
These boys were the winners of Miss Hess’ STEM activity! Each group was given 1 piece of 12x18” construction paper, 1 pair of scissors, 1 glue stick, and 20 minutes to create the longest paper chain. Their chain was over 20’ long!
Snow Detectives in Third Grade
Jenna from Osborne presented the program “Snow Detectives” to Clayton Ridge third grade classes. Students learned how to identify animal tracks in the snow. They made their own animal footprint plaster cast to take home.
Third Graders are Learning about Measurements
Third grade students are busy measuring time, mass, volume, and length of objects in their Math Measurement Unit.
First Grade Music Students Learning about Tempo
1st graders have been learning about fast and slow tempos in music class. They have been playing a game using cars to help boost their understanding.
