The Teen Summit will be an opportunity for students from the Central Ohio area to come together with law enforcement for an all-day interactive seminar that will offer impactful opportunities to learn more about law enforcement in various ways throughout the day. This unique event will take place at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy, and only 100 teens from Central Ohio schools (10 from UAHS) will be chosen to attend. If you are interested, please complete this application by Monday, August 28.

Safety & Security
A sense of safety and security is essential when seeking to build connection and belonging in our community. The security of students and staff is a top priority, so as a community, we must be aware of the tools we have to report any potential incidents of bullying, harassment or intimidation. The Stay Safe, Speak Up! public hotline and app on all student iPads allow confidential reports of possible safety or bullying issues. For more, check out this poster.
Family Connection Webinar Series
Consider joining us on September 13 at 4:30 p.m. for our first webinar. We will be discussing the academic supports we have to offer at UAHS as well as how to interpret the Ohio State Test results.

Technology Updates
The ClassLink Family Portal
ClassLink is a single sign-on system Upper Arlington City Schools uses with students to provide a single location to access curricular resources. We now have a Family ClassLink environment. This single sign-on system will provide families one location to access all of the systems, sites and resources you need to manage the Upper Arlington student experience.
Custodial caregivers who have a current email address noted in PowerSchool, are automatically set up with accounts. If you are a custodial parent or guardian, and do not have an email address in PowerSchool, contact your school office to have your contact information updated. Once updated, it will take 24 hours for the account to be created.

Attendance Procedures
Attendance Notifications
Attendance is a critical component to learning. Students need to show up in order to take full advantage of the education programs we offer. We have begun notifying students and families via email when a student has had an unexcused absence from class. Students have next week to ensure they are taking responsibility for their attendance in each class, including Forum. Beginning August 28, students will be assigned consequences for skipping any class.

Medical Notes
Please submit your medical notes to uahsattendance@uaschools.org. In order for attendance hours to not accumulate towards habitual absence triggers, medical documentation is needed.
