Principal's Message

Dear Edison Families,


Our kids rock. Case in point, our Associated Student Body (ASB) already does so much to lead and support our positive school culture so having them take things up a notch this year with our Rudolph Dash challenge was a lot of fun to be a part of. It's still anyone’s race as we trail the top school but EdisonNation led by these amazing Bobcats certainly ran a great race in support of our Promise Scholars!


Last day to register online is Sunday, December 5 at 11:59 PM.


Oh, and a huge thanks to the “anonymous elf” that donated those lovely reindeer antlers for me to wear this past week. I'm going to go dig up the rest of my reindeer suit, you know, just in case we beat our previous participation record and we Rudolph the Principal :)


Excited to get outside and build some community with EdisonNation Saturday. Thank you for your partnership and support!

Join us for a group photo at 7:30 am near the Race Starting Line at the intersection of Euclid and C Street.

The family-friendly Rudolph’s Dash will begin at the Start/Finish line of the 5K Reindeer Run (Euclid and C Street) and end in the Rudolph’s Roundup children’s area. Kids can run or walk this shorter course, or families may participate together.


Rudolph’s Dash is geared for Principals :) younger kids, moms or dads with their strollers, or anyone that wants to join the race on a smaller scale.


After the race, spend time in Rudolph’s Roundup area where you can visit local businesses and race sponsors or have the kids participate in exercise activities and craft booths. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family!

Community Survey: Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

We need your input -- our District’s LCAP review and update depends on the input of our community, parents, students, teachers, other school personnel, bargaining units, administrators, tribal, and advocacy groups.


The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) provides funding for districts and schools. LCFF requires school districts to focus on the eight key areas (priorities) and review and update a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP):

PFO Birthday Grams Fundraiser

Send a message to your birthday kid. See your child's name in lights on their birthday week up on our school marquee -- a birthday connection to our beloved school.


  • $5 per student

  • Orders due Thursday before birthday week

  • Order forms are available in the main office.

Reporting an Absence:

It is critical you contact our office to report an absence every time your child is absent. Our absence reporting line is operational twenty-four hours a day, so you can call 909-984-5618 option 3 anytime. You may also email our main office directly at edison@omsd.net. Absences must be reported before 9:15 A.M.


Please be sure to include the following information:

  • Student's First and Last name

  • Teacher's name

  • Length of absence

  • Reason for absence

Students Presenting Symptoms at Home -- Please Contact Our Health Office

In an effort to maintain a healthy school environment and to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we ask that all parents screen their child for COVID-19 symptoms each morning before they send them to school, and keep them at home if they are sick using our Daily Checklist for Families.


This shared responsibility is critical to our ability to keep everyone safe, healthy and attending in person each day.


Please report your child’s illness with details of all symptoms to our health office at 909-984-5618. Our Health Office will follow up on all students that are at home with COVID-19 symptoms.
