Monthly PLC Meetings from 12:00 pm - 12:30pm and In-Person Training 2-16-2022
Our monthly PLCs will be from 12:00-12:30; I will always stay from 12:30-1:00 for any questions or guidance. Instead of attending the ZOOM sessions in March and April, your team may schedule an individual session with the ESC. Please let me know if you would like to meet in person or ZOOM if you prefer the individualized sessions.

Mental and Behavioral Health Grant Goals
MHBH Grant Goals
1) Participate in Professional Learning Community Meetings at least one time per month.
2) Conduct an assessment of behavioral health needs in your district.
The assessment must include:
a. School climate surveys of staff and students,
b. Integration of perception data into the needs assessment process, and
c. Analyzing school climate survey data and use it to inform the needs assessment process and build a multi-tiered system of support.
3) Enroll in the SHAPE System and complete the baseline SHAPE System Self-Assessment.
4 )Become familiar with the TEAs Mental Health Website and Toolkit, including:
a. Introduction and Overview of the new TEA Webpage and Tools,
b. School Behavioral Health Needs Assessment(SHAPE) with TEA Tools and School Climate Data,
c. Resource Mapping to identify and map internal and external School Behavioral Health resources with TEA Tools,
d. Behavioral Health Campus Planning to build preliminary School Behavioral Health Campus Service Delivery Plan with TEA Tools and develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and
e. Intervention and Consultation on additional student-level processes and TEA Tools.
6) Build resources and relationships that support:
a. Build Relationships with Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs)
b. Collaboration with the HB19 Mental Health Professional assigned to the ESC, Rocio Bicki, rmbickei@esc19.net.
c. Participation in telemedicine initiatives with TCHATT, hanna.garza@ttuhsc.edu, and other sources.

Please join us for MTSS:RTI and School Counseling Data and Culturally Sustaining Practices presented by two authors from Making MTSS Work, Dr. Olsen, and Dr. Betters-Bubon. During this professional development, they will deliver on:
a. What are and why use data-driven practices?
b. What are and the importance of culturally sustaining practices and their relationship to data-driven programs?
c. Aligning data within MTSS and the school counseling program
d. Root cause analysis
e. Advanced model of data-driven practices, based on Young and Kaffenberger’s (2019) model
