I am happy to introduce you to our first issue of "AUSD Connection." We plan to send out this parent newsletter the Friday after each regular Board of Education meeting, to help you stay up-to-date with current news, updates, and important information about our schools and our district as a whole.

Filling out the Alternate Income Form will help increase funding for AUSD schools. Log in through the Parent Portal and complete the three simple questions -- it only takes one minute!

Complete the form by September 26th:

• Every school that has at least 90% completion will receive $500-$1,000 for the school supply budget.
  
• Every teacher whose class reaches 100% completion will earn additional funds for their classroom supply budget.

Completing the form will also enable families to determine eligibility for free/reduced AP exam fees, free/reduced college application fees, CalFresh, and discounted utilities.

The next Gateway to Success Parent Webinar will be Bullying: Education and Prevention and will take place on Wednesday, October 5th at 6:00 p.m. The AUSD Student Support Services Department will be joined by both the Alhambra and Monterey Park Police Departments to speak on this very important topic.
