Weekly Community Updates - December 8, 2023
Dear Students and Families,
We had a fun lunch time today at Harvest Fair! I know I enjoyed some yummy food! I hope many clubs were able to make some money. Next week on December 15th, we will have our formal dance. As a reminder students are allowed to leave the dance starting at 8:00 pm and we do not have in and out privileges.
Lastly, please note that the last three days of the semester (12/20 - 12/22) will be minimum days. We follow our Wednesday schedule and release students at 1:15pm each day.
Have a great weekend!
Take care,
Maritza Torres

We Need Your Support for the SDR Project!
The completion of the Serramonte Del Rey Neighborhood Project will be a win-win for our District and the City of Daly City, generating badly needed revenue for the School District's educational programs, while creating much needed housing for the community. Please show your support for this innovative project by doing one, or ALL, of the following:
- Attend the Daly City Council Meeting on Monday, January 22 @ 7:00 pm
- Write a letter in support of the project to the Daly City Planning Commission or Daly City Council. Those letters can be emailed to cityclerk@dalycity.org with the subject, “Public Comment.”

10th Gr. California Colleges: My Plan
In the months of October and November, school counselors met with all 10th grade students during flex time to reintroduce californiacolleges.edu and how to use the platform. We mostly discussed 4 year graduation plans. We discussed Californiacolleges.edu, how to use the platform, discussed what a 4 year grad plan is, and considering/planning out courses for senior year. We asked students to think about their postsecondary plans. We also talked about college pathways and 4 year college requirements. After the lesson, students were asked to sign into their californiacolleges.edu accounts and start to map out what courses they plan to take next year. As a reminder, students did not request/register for any course, but just created a plan for what they need for graduation and to be 4 year college eligible.
Here are the lesson slides
Ask your student to sign into their californiacolleges.edu account and show you what their academic plan for next year looks like!
