Student Pictures
If your student missed picture day last Friday or you are new to our school since Picture Day, there will be a retake day on Wednesday, October 4th from 7:30 to 8:30 am. If you didn't order pictures, your next chance will be in October. Information will be on website at that time.
Explore your Student's Schedule
- Wednesday, August 30th - 6th Grade - 6:00-7:30 pm
- Thursday, August 31st - 7th & 8th Grade - 6:00-7:30 pm
Your student will bring home a sheet of paper showing their schedule for you to follow. This is a great night for you to meet all your student's teachers and ask any questions you may have. This is an evening just for parents to meet the teachers and learn about the curriculum and instruction for the year. We hope to see you there!
*Please note that additional parking will be available in the Church lot next door. Please only park in spaces designated for our event. There will be staff directing you to those spaces.*
Dropping off Items at School
We understand that students forget things in the morning. When dropping off an item at school, please have it in a bag with your student's name and grade on it.
- Lunches – Students receive these in their lunch period. Refrigeration is not available for lunches.
- Band Instruments – The Band Director is notified of the drop off and will have the instrument in the band room for your student.
- Chromebooks – Your student's teacher will be notified of the item in the office to be picked up. There are a limited number of loaner Chromebooks available for daily use in the library.
- Homework – Your student's teacher will be notified of the item in the office for the student to pickup.
- Water Bottles – Students will receive this item during their lunch period.

ParentVue reflects 7th grade class times for all students. Please note the schedules below to see your student's class times.
Yearbook
Our online yearbook offer is live and yearbooks can be purchased at www.jostensyearbooks.com. You can also use this direct link or by phone at 1-877-767-5217. Your student will receive a flyer this week to bring home!

Activity Buses
Activity buses have started and run on Monday / Tuesday / Thursday. Students cannot leave school grounds and return to ride an Activity Bus home. They must remain on school property to ride the bus home.

Parent Nights
The HBMS PTO is excited to see you at the Parent Nights! We will have a LOT of spirit wear for sale (cash, check or credit card accepted), as well as Nothing Bundt Cakes for sale. Be sure to stop by our table to check out fun upcoming events and ways to get involved!
First PTO Meeting
Please mark your calendars for the first HBMS PTO Meeting on Tuesday, September 5th from 6-7pm. We meet in the Library Media Center at HBMS.
First Fundraiser of the Year
Sell Lou Malnati's pizza coupons to ALL your friends and family! Your student should have brought home an order form last week. If you didn’t get one, check backpacks or click on the link to print an order form. Each coupon is $13 and good for one frozen take-n-bake cheese, sausage, pepperoni, or spinach deep dish pizza at any Lou Malnati’s restaurant. These normally retail for $15.89 or more, so $13 IS A STEAL and an easy dinner night. Order forms and money are due in the front office by Monday, September 11. Staff Appreciation Welcome Back Breakfast
Help the Staff Appreciation Committee provide a delicious "Welcome Back Breakfast" for all HBMS staff on Friday, September 8th. Click on the Sign-up Genius link here to donate an item.
