SUMMER VACATION IS ALMOST HERE
The sun is shining, the sandhill cranes have arrived, and we are excited -summer vacation is almost here!
There are many activities available in Homer for kids to participate in over the summer; baseball, soccer, swim lessons, bicycling, gymnastics, running, softball, hiking, disc golf, tennis, the list goes on and on. Parks and Recreation has a helpful website that lists many summer activities at www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/recreation And don’t forget to check out the SPARC website at www.sparchomer.org.
The health screens have been completed. I did height and weight for all students (unless an opt out form is on file). Vision and hearing screens were done for all 3rd and 5th graders and new to district students. If you would like your student’s information, please contact me.
Medication at school: If your child has medication at school, please contact me regarding pick up during the last week of school. All medications left in the nurse office after 3pm on the last day of school, Thursday May 16th, will be disposed of.
I hope you and your family get a chance to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Fun and adventure are right outside your door.
Wishing you a wonderful and safe summer.

Laura Peek, RN
