Senior Spotlights!
Staff Spotlight-JaNice West
Meet JaNice West, one of our sponsor teachers here at Family Partnership. This is JaNice's 3rd year at FPCS. She is a lifelong Alaskan. She has four children, Aiden, Avalee, Eleanor, and Donovan. She loves playing and making messes with her children. Avalee and Eleanor participate in ballet and soccer, and Aidan is in a band, playing the guitar. JaNice played soccer for 15 years. She loves warm weather and being outside. Recently JaNice took a trip to California and visited Yosemite. She is working on her Masters in Teaching and Learning. She loves helping and working with FPCS families!
A Note From Milo, the Muskox
We are getting questions about continued purchases from 4/22-5/31. Historically, ASD must have a close-out period to process all 22/23 payments to close out the fiscal year. Re-enrolling families can begin making purchases on June 1st to support year-round learning. Please hold off on whatever educational spending you can until June 1st. Receipts for May internet and monthly subscriptions dated 4/22/23-5/26/23 are due by May 26, 2023. Thank you for your understanding.
Requisition Deadline, May 5, 2023

Chugiak and Eagle River Graduates - Grad Blast Event!
There is a Chugiak/Eagle River Grad Blast celebration planned for all graduating seniors in the Chugiak/ Eagle River community (homeschool and AMCS students as well) . Seniors are welcome to purchase an additional ticket for a student guest as well to accompany them to this event (guests are not eligible for prizes) .
Grads can arrive anytime between 10pm- 12am, and they can go home at anytime before 4am. As the evening progresses, the events and door prizes will get larger in value.
The event is on Monday because ERHS/ CHS have their formal ceremonies that day. The purpose of this community event is to have a clean, safe party for all graduates, pool our resources into one celebration in lieu of teens party hopping around town with outside influences.
Exciting times for Class of 2023!
Alaska Nurses Association 2023 Nurses Week Celebration
The Alaska Nurses Association is doing an Art Contest for Elementary students during the Nurses' Week Celebration (May 5th through 12th), and they are trying to get the word out to students & families. Please see the attached documents!
23/24 Sponsor Teacher Requests
At Family Partnership, we feel that matching the just right sponsor teacher for each family is an integral part of building the student/ parent/ teacher partnership. Therefore, we do allow parents to request their sponsor teachers. The school administrator will make every effort to accommodate parent requests; however, there is no guarantee that all requests be able to be met due to teachers being full. To send in a request, email the principal at parker_jessica@asdk12.org.
FPCS Academic Advisory Council (AAC) Application
