Grateful for This Graduate Community
This month brings the Thanksgiving holiday, a time for us to reflect and give thanks to those who make a difference in our lives. Many of these people are obvious ... our family and friends who nurture and support us, our mentors and colleagues who guide us through our academic pursuits. Others work behind the scenes of our lives, and we probably do not even realize how much they help us.
For me, I am grateful for the staff in the Office of Graduate Studies and throughout the College and University who come to work each day to help make the graduate student experience the best that it can be. I am also grateful for the passion, commitment and camaraderie of our graduate students. Your intellectual enthusiasm and belief in our mission are truly what makes Villanova the unique learning community that it is. You inspire me and my fellow faculty members, and I am proud to be your dean.
- Emory Woodard, PhD, Dean of Graduate Studies, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
