Windsor Families,

Our 5th graders had a great experience at World of Work today. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who put this together for our students.

A big thank you to our PTA for putting together an amazing teacher appreciation week! Also, a big thank you to all of the families who donated in any way to make this week so special for all of our staff at Windsor! Windsor staff feel so appreciated!

We are in need of a crossing guard at Windsor and Miner. If you are interested in making a little extra money, contact the District 25 office or find the posting online on the district's website.

Just a reminder, CAP parents cannot enter the building with their CAP card until 4 pm. If you need to pick up your child before 4 pm, please ring the bell and enter through the office.

Summer will come just a few hours early this year. On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, students will be dismissed early.

• Middle School Students will dismiss at 1:30 pm.
• Early Childhood Students will dismiss at 2:15 pm.
• Elementary School Students will dismiss at 2:30 pm.
• CAP will begin at 2:30 pm.

It’s May! Something I love about spring is that we can do art outside on the patio. I like to find something that is spring related, and this project screamed all things flowers and spring to me! It’s also spin on a traditional fabric dyeing process called Batik that originated in Indonesia. Hello Windsor Families!

We are enjoying warmer weather with more exposed skin and time outdoors on field trips and recess! In light of this here is our district policy regarding Sunscreen:

If you know your child is sensitive to the sun or will be exposed to the sun for extended periods of time on a field trip, etc., please take the precautions you normally would if your child was at home with you. The child may apply sunscreen at school as long as the process is not disruptive to class activities or you may prefer your child wear clothing that protects them from the sun. Please know that school personnel will not be allowed to apply sunscreen to your children nor remind them to do so.

If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the main line and listen for the prompts, 847-398-4297. You can also complete this online form: CLICK HERE TO REPORT AN ABSENCE ONLINE. While you may also email the teacher, there are times that the teacher will not read email prior to school starting. Please always leave a message first. We cannot stress this enough. Please also make every effort for your child to arrive at school on time. Missing the beginning of the school day often has a negative impact on students for the rest of the day. Please contact the office if your child will be tardy or needs to leave early.
