Dear CES Families and Friends:


Happy June! As we enter the final month of this school year, there is so much to be thankful for and celebrate! This month our SHARKS will have the opportunity to bring their learning outside of the classroom for field trips, showcase their hard work, perform, and have lots of outdoor fun!


Please take the time to read through the Shark Alert for the many upcoming activities. Next Thursday is CES Field Day. The following week all families are invited to the CES Arts Festival. We hope to see you soon on our campus!

4th-Grade students in Mrs. Macomber's class built their own mini-golf courses using cardboard, paper, and their mathematical knowledge of angles.

Field Day 6.9.22

The CES Field Day is coming on Thursday, June 9th. Students will spend the day participating in field activities, water activities, and at the CES carnival.


Field Day t-shirts will be provided for all students and staff! Please make sure your student(s) bring a labeled water bottle, a towel, and have applied sunscreen in the morning. Students are also encouraged to wear hats as we will be outdoors all day. The entire school will be having a picnic lunch together, but students can still bring a lunch from home if they prefer.


Volunteers are still needed, please reach out to your homeroom teacher or Ms. Gebhardt in the Main Office if you are available to help out. An up-to-date CORI is required to volunteer.

Arts Festival 6.16.22

CES is proud to present our first ever ARTS FESTIVAL on Thursday, June 16th.


Please join us at 12:30 pm in the CES gym for a whole-school concert. Our instrumental groups, school chorus, and every grade level will be performing. After the concert, take a walk through our halls and visit the student work galleries.


Families and friends should arrive between 12:15 and 12:30 and enter through the gym doors and Hitching Post Rd. parking lot. All visitors will need to sign in at the door.


Our super creative SHARKS are looking forward to welcoming you!

School Lunch for 2022-2023

For the past two years, schools across Massachusetts have been able to offer universal free breakfast and lunch to their students. The funding for this program will not be available for the 2022-2023 school year.


Applications for free & reduced breakfast/lunch are available now for the upcoming school year. You can access the application HERE. Please complete and return to the school at your earliest convenience. Information regarding MySchoolBucks accounts for student meal purchases will be shared over the summer.

Monomoy Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

If you have child(ren) receiving special education services or want information about special education, check out the Monomoy SEPAC website and Facebook page for meeting and event information. The SEPAC is currently looking to build capacity and membership to support special education in Monomoy Schools. If you would like to be on their mailing list email sepac@monomoy.edu

WIC for Families

WIC is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or another legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.
