Head Teacher's Message
It was a wonderful evening on Wednesday as we opened our doors to our Year 9 families for an evening of information and conversation about our Year 9 GCSE Options Programme. Attendance was exceptionally high and there was a fantastic buzz around the building as students and parents discovered more about the GCSEs on offer. There were some creative displays around school showcasing our student's work (some of which we have included below) and the smell of chocolate brownies from the Food Tech room was extremely enticing! Thank you to those families who were able to attend.
Students have also been busy in school this week taking part in an Intermediate Maths Challenge, participating in the RISE Swimming gala at Pools in the Park; and heading off to the Natural History Museum.
We have one more week until half-term and the lighter evenings are already very welcome and giving us hope of what's to come.
Have an enjoyable weekend.

FoRTS Contributions
We are delighted to share an action shot of Daniel, Y11, using the Mitre Trimmer. This machine was purchased via a bid made through FoRTS. Monies raised by FoRTS via events, pre-loved uniform sales, rugby parking etc., really does make a difference to our students, your children, and the equipment that we are able to purchase. Thank you to FoRTS for your support.

FoRTS Rugby Car Parking Volunteers Needed!
Date: Saturday 10 February
Time: 11am - 9pm (Kick off 4:45pm)
What We Do: The Friends of RTS (FoRTS) are dedicated parent volunteers who raise funds to enhance our children's learning experience at RTS. From online subscriptions & books to competition sports kit, Lego and Minecraft enrichment, to buses and the sports day barbecue that help make the day a real celebration; every penny we raise benefits our kids.
How You Can Help: We run the school car park on rugby days, and last year, we raised an impressive £33,000! Join our friendly team for 1 or 2 hour shifts. It's social, fun, and outdoors. Plus, you'll meet other parents! There are volunteer slots before the game begins for even the most passionate rugby watchers.
Calling New Volunteers: We urgently need more parents to join our marshalling team. Whether you're a diehard rugby fan or just want to support our children, we'd love to have you on board.
