Submitting Excuse Notes & Limiting Unexcused Absences
Excuse notes can be brought to Magnet’s front office or submitted via email to
MagnetOffice@rockdale.k12.ga.us . Please note that excuse notes must be submitted within 3 days of your student’s return to school.
Students must stay home if they are sick and stay home until they have been fever free for a minimum of 24 hours. Additionally, students and staff are required to isolate for 10 days when they receive a positive COVID-19 test.
While understanding it is key to stay home if a student is sick, we also need your partnership in limiting or eliminating unexcused absences. Students, you will not be eligible to exempt your Spring final exams if you have more than 3 unexcused absences. Please ensure that you are coming to school on all days that you are able.
Safety Reminders & COVID-19 Testing
Also, RCPS continues to offer free COVID testing Monday through Thursday along with free vaccine events.
